After the storm! |

We had not heard the last from Dora! She traveled inland for a little ways, The entire area was completely flooded; then just plain soaked. At the time we had some ducks. They were positively yellow from oiling their feathers; and, they walked across the yard so "gingerly," so tired of that mess! |
Just after the storm I took some pictures around Garden City and Highlands. Just looking at the photos now, it doesn't look so bad; but, when there are tree limbs down and roofs off in just about every yard, it doesn't look so good either! |

The children sitting on the downed trees are my nieces and nephew. Robert, sitting with his sister, Deborah, with their sister, Vicki, on the fallen tree limb just above. |
You couldn't get into Jacksonville Beach unless you lived there; but, we went to Fernandina Beach, just north of Jacksonville and theoretically farther away from the devastation; but, things were bad enough there. Houses were washed into the ocean and one was turned upside down!
